NOTE: The original shot is in a WORKSHOP.

I like to experiment with the reflections on the water. Each time you go to the same place, you find a totally different mirror, depending on the light, the wind, the weather conditions.

Af first, I was wondering if this type of "experimental" composition would be suitable for TN, but then I thougt that macro shots are usually rotated and nobody complains... if you are not sure think that my head was rotated when I took the shot, so this is just what I could see :-DDD

This shot is rotated -89º, so the sky is at the left, and the water at the right, and is a crop of the original one in the workshop. Some S&H, levels, USM and saturation correction did the rest.

I liked the effect, hope you like too!

F8 - 1/13 - Tripod - Manual mode.

Excelent work, Felipe. The rotation makes it an art piece. well done on this capture and details.

Its amazing how the scene looks when rotated.
A very artistic and surreal piece of work.
Very well done and TFS.

The rotation gives a very a really disconcerting effect. Water acts here really like a mirroir, without defect.

Belle et intéressante composition photographique pour ce paysage symétrique ;-) C'est original de présenter ce reflet en vertical.
Well Done ! Points Later...

Well Felipe I know of nothing in the rules to say you cannt make us veiw it sideways like this.It does give it a very strange feel.
Personally having got a crick in my neck looking at the right way, I preffer it the right way the reflections are superb very hard to tell real from reflection, it is a very beautiful place, TFS it with us all ;0)))

Ola Felipe.

Pois é com agua fazem-se maravilhas.

Esta está optima !

Hi Filepe
The thumbnail looks like three wolves looking up at you - the full frame looses that, but it is still very beautiful, abstract and I still feel we need a category for shapes and textures in nature, to post these type of pictures.
What is fascinating about this pic is that it looks like a totem pole, but also brings to mind the "stag hunt" from the Celtic legends - look at the antlers in the middle - well done, FTS
PS - maybe you can ask Adam for such a category - I have done so some weeks ago, but no response.

Hi Felipe, very original...it took me a second or two to figure it out. Very nice relfections and the symmetry is very pleasing. Well done.

Yes, very good shot Felipe which keeps the eye and imagination busy, good post.

Hello Felipe! This unusual composition reminds me of many things--an antlered animal, a scull of rowers, a spider's open mouth (from Fisher's gallery)! Most imaginative, with great effect! Well done!

They call it artistic licence Felipe.
You've created a masterpiece here. It looks like a thin gnarly forest goblin like this.
That must have been such a still clear pond.
Excellent work. Thanks for posting it.

First, I thought it was a tree. Also I thought it was a very old totem and finally I went to see the WS and I understood how bright you are! ;-)
Personal assessment of the photo: very special and original PoV. A great idea!
Very strong visual impact.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.
Thank you Felipe. The PoV is the punch!

Excellente prise originale.

Merci pour l'envoi, une photo très agréable à regarder.

Nice composition, but landscape framing would have been better IMO.
Well done.
TFS.

Wow, this is great.. We used to do something similar with paint on paper, and then fold the paper in half, creating these kind of pictures.

Very original idea :) very ARTY :D

Well done
Elize

Wow, caramba, Felipe, surprising shot! Symetric reflection looks like deer's antlers. Confusing for first sight and even more for next :-) But I like it very much. It is good to experiment sometimes. Extraordinary for sure in good meaning of this word.

Felipe, Creative manipulation with interesting results..I've seen this mirror image application before with some really great effects. TFS

A great creative twist on a reflection photo. Thanks for the idea; will have to try this one.
