[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Vanellus vanellus. 31 cm. Es el más común y difundido de los chorlitos de alas redondas de Europa, con una cresta larga, plumaje negro verdoso y blanco y patas bastante cortas. Llaman la atención las alas muy anchas y redondeadas. Infracobertoras caudales de color castaño anaranjado. El macho reproductor tiene un dibujo cefálico más definido y la cresta más larga que la hembra. . Es gregaria, a menudo en enormes bandadas dispersas durante el invierno. Su voz es un pitsii uiit sonoro y nasal, o un pii r uiit más prolongado, con diversas variantes. Se la ve en tierras cultivadas, como la de la fotografía, que está en un campo de alfalfa, aguas residuales agrarias, marismas y playas de fango. Cria en terrenos de labor, páramos fríos, marismas, etc.

Nice photo Ignasi.
You were able to get really close to this bird!
Great POV and composition.
DOF is too shallow seeing as the head is slightly OOF, but potentially this is a great shot.

Très beau vanneau huppé. C'est une chance de pouvoir l'observer et le photographier. J'apprécie beaucoup la diversité de la galerie, qui s'enrichit maintentant de photos d'oiseaux. Elle constitue une belle présentation de la nature de ta région.

I agree Joey's comments but it is a lovely image. Nicely composed and a great moment captured. These are quite rare in England but there are some breeding in the London wetlands centre. Good work
