In the same parc as were the toucans, this duck (anyone who can tell me the name?) was having fun in a big pond surrounded by plants.
He was diving from time to time and I wanted to fix the moment when
he came up covered with water drops.
I tried various shutter speed between 1/300 and 1/1000s
This is one of the results
Hope you like

Bonsoir Karin,
Très joli canard. L'action est superbe avec cet eau sur le dos. Bravo pour les belle couleurs.
Merci
Joseph
hello Karin
beautiful shot, i love the action on the image,
i love that circle waves around the duck
and the droplets coming down from his beak
maybe i am wrong Kain, but i think your duck is :

Hallo Karin
What a wonderful and most peaceful capture of this "duck with no identity yet" If it was at all possible for me do get to a pond with a duck swimming to and throw in front of me, I will pack a picnic basket and sit and watch it the whole day. I am sure one will be able to take the most wonderful photos. This a lovely scene and much enjoyable to look at. This duck is surely having a ball of a time judging by the water circles. It must have been going around and around, just taking pleasure in the water. The water droplets is truly and rather special. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna
Bonjour Karin,
Jolie composition ! J'aime beaucoup les ronds dans l'eau, les goutelettes en suspension et les couleurs de ce canard...
Beaucoup de détails également. Bravo !
Liliane
Hi Karin,
The water drops strings around the duck and under it's bill, are wonderful.
This is my favorite duck; Red-crested Pochard (Netta rufina). The particular one in your photo is the mail. The female is also beautiful, even though she is not so colorful.
Red-crested Pochard, is rather rare in Israel at winter. Then, small flocks come at random to the Biblical Jerusalem Zoo's main lake (we have not natural lakes in Jerusalem).
Best regards,
Yedidia
