A young crab spider whit a big prey.
The spider is Thomisus onustus (Walckenaer, 1806) and the prey a Bumblebee (Bombus sp.)
Crab spiders possess potent venoms that quickly immobilize their prey. Their venoms enable them to successfully attack insects much larger than themselves. |
