Hi Karin,
An impressive scene of the fury of mother nature clearly showing that nothing is stronger.Good handling of the bright light and wind swept spray. The almost monocrome colour adding to the strength and power.Something different......well done.

As has been said ... awesome and impressive, nature in all her fury. Personally would have preferred a darker sky, an ND Grad would have done that just to give it a more stormy look.

Bonjour Karin,
Quelle puissance !!! C'est vraiment impressionnant de vérité dans une lumière générant une très belle ambiance austère.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Very well done! It reminds me of the Azores. The waves there can be very violent. great action you have frozen in time here.
You certainly captured the power of the ocean in this shot Karin. It makes one feel small and vulnerable. I wonder how those pilings were ever driven. It must have been at low tide on a calm sea day!

Hi Karin
Very impressive capture displaying the pure and raging force of nature. Sheer energy relentlessly released wave after wave. Three distinct stages or actions are visible in that breaker. Closest we see the agitation and churning eruption where the wave already broke and violently storming towards the shoreline ready to pulverise anything in its way. In the middle zone we see the wave starting to break causing the cascading and misty waters to pour over the top, some of it being blown away by the wind and some of it starting the action we see in the previous section. And on the far side we see the building-up of the muscle and strength of this powerful and potential destructive force of nature. What raw beauty?
I played a bit with a workshop to try and get a little more dramatic impact out of the waves and clouds. Just for the fun of it and for no other reason since you posted a very neat and remarkable photo.
Well done and TFS.

Amazing shot of that furious see. Big waves, one of nature forces.I love to sit down, watch and listen the ocean. Maybe because I live near the sea. I have family living on the Azores Islands that I visit many times. And is like you say, living on an island, we are always feeling the sea, watching, listen and smelling it.
Great composition.
TFS.
Wish you many good shots.
Best regards.
