This is a fine sharp macro of a fly that has been killed by a fungus that is spreading as a white mould on its body. The legs are stiff and do not hold the plant that it is on.
Excellent sharpness and lighting.
TFS,
Saludos,
Ivan

Great macro again, Jose.
Thanks for sharing and best regards.

Hi Jose,
Excellent macro image of this dead guy.
I don't see any information on this in your note, but Ivan has documented it I see.
TFS!

Maite

Hi Jose Ramon,
a fine macro shot of this tiny fly.
It's head is huge compared to its body!
Very detailed with great sharpness and clarity.
Lovely warm colours and great even lighting.
Very good DOF keepin the whole fly tack-sharp while blurring the BG perfectly.
I think there is too much space below the fly but that is just my opinion.
Nevertheless this is is a splendid shot!
Well done,
Joe

HI JOse,

Hi Jose,

A beautiful macro of this poor little fly. Wonderful details of the insect and the fungus he is suffering with. That one leg is just hanging down. Excellent colors and composition on the curved leaf.

Jane

Hi Jose.
What a funny and fine hoverfly. You managed to picture it at so attractive pose and scene. I like POV and framing so much. I also like wonderful light colours and great DOF. Owing exact DOF you managed to create true three-dimensional image. Bravo.
Alexei.

saludos amigo. PL

Hola Jose Ramon!
This is very interesting fly species, and even if I am not specialist in Diptera I believe that it is not a common object on photos. Only 7 mm, really great capture! :)
All the best from Lodz,
Radomir

PS.I'll be back soon :)
