The first thing I thought of was this beautiful flower looks like it is made of crumpled paper! We think alike. Needless to say I have never seen anything like this. The colors are exquisite. Fine details of the flower, buds, and leaves.Beautiful picture and a lovely composition.

A beautiful Cistus flower with characteristically wrinkled petals Ulla, in perfect focus and colours finely reproduced here, the unopened buds nicely complete this fine composition. We use the dried leaves of some species to brew a tea-like drink around here. TFS and cheers,

I have grown these in my garden, but I would love to see them as they grow in the wild like this. Those crinkled petals always look like they need ironing! I like the shadows the wrinkles make.

Hello Ulla,

I like the way you rendered the texture of flowers petals. It is a grat way of using the light and rendering this paper like aspect of the petals. Image quality is also very good even fine details of the flower beeing possible to observe.

Hi Ulla!

I like the somehow funny aspect of the petals very much. I looks like a handicraft made of paper; this provides the flower and the picture a very particular aspect. Moreover, the colours are superb and you made a great job concerning the sharpness and the lighting. It is, as you say, a beauty!

Hi Ulla,
Yes, this "jara" is around me and all the people I know love this beauty. By the way, if you try to cut this flower, its petals fall immediately even doing it with an extreme care.
Perfect details and pov, but slightly dark. It's quite complex to get the right colour balance under the sun for this type of flower!
