[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is dedicated to Selen (SelenE) for all her fantastic photos of landscapes and birds which I've been very inspired by.

Me and my Mum got up very early to photograph this, we battled through the mozzies and were bombarded with Stripe-less Tree Frogs but it was worth it :-) We ended up seeing Bee-Eaters, Night Herons, Squacco Herons, little warblers, Grey Herons and Great Egrets!

I hope you like it!

Hi Joe,
Getting uo early always pays.
That's something in which I have to work on a little ;-)
The subtle and side lighting at this time is very special, and you did it great with this imposing sunrise, plenty of beauty all over the frame.
The clouds are almost unbelievable.
Excellent picture and thanks for post it.
Best regards,
JM

Bonjour,

Hi Joe

A splendid sunrise from you here and it seems you are getting better and better at this type of photos, too :)
Definitely worth the troubles...the outcome is a full-color sky with those amazing little clouds everywhere - sprinkled there just to give you an extra set of reflection and diffractions :)
Wonderful tones everywhere and lovely composition. But i don't get one thing: why ISO 800? The shutter speed is way to short for a shot like this? :) Where you shooting those Stripe-less Tree Frogs before and forgot to change the settings? 'Cause i'd love to see one of those, too :)

Anyway, Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hi Joe.
You have selected so attractive scene of a fine state of the weather. Cloudy sky under rising sun rays are looked greatly. Their colouration and details are amazing as well as cute curve of the horizon and shapes of trees. Well done and kind regards.
Alexei.

Hi Joe!

Excellent colours and shapes of clouds. We've got proverb in Poland - 'Kto rano wstaje, temu Pan Bog daje' which means - 'One who woke up early is rewarded by God'. Say hello to your Mum :-)

Hi Joe,

What a wonderful morning that must have been! You know how to make us jealous. A gorgeous sunrise with fantastic colors and patterns in the sky. Just wonderful with the silhouettes of the trees below and the sun peeking his head out.

Hi Joe

THis is a wonderful shot of an approaching weather front with the heralding cirro-cumulus clouds lit up by the setting sun.

Great dedication.

James

Joe,
I think the composition of this shot is wholesome, and beautiful...but honestly, this is not a Joey shot, in terms of quality.Your shots are simple looking, natural, yet difficult to execute.I've yet to spot flaws in your shots, but in this shot, I find things very complex, the sky looks like its got rashes(I do not mean to sound crude, but I can't call it noise either) and oversaturated. Is it due to some new software you're using?I do not know of anything technical, so I'd better shut up on that front! If you look at the lower part of the shot, it looks sharp and smooth, the upper part is where the disturbance lies.I've never been to Spain, but the Sun and the sky are the same as in India, I hope, or does the sky really look like this there?
Sorry, the intention was not to hurt, or demotivate.Could you please do a WS on this shot?
Goldy

Merhaba Joe,

Çok hoş bir manzara. Gerideki mavi gökyüzü önünde güneşin kızıllığını yansıtan bulutların bir armonisi gibi.
Etkileyici bir çalışma.
Elinize sağlık.

Hi Joe,
A nice capture of this beautiful Spanish Sunrise scenery. Very well composed with lovely details. But why the ISO at 800 and shutter speed at 1/640secs. As per my knowledge slow shutter speeds are used to take landscapes. Anyway there are no rules for a great capture ;>. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hola Joe,
Preciosa foto para una bien merecida dedicatoria, has sabido capturar una hermosa luz con una sinfonía de color, saludos
José Ramón

Hi Joey,
I am so glad that I pulled this photo into Photoshop since it looked a little pale on TN. Somehow photoshop made the photo much more vibrant. I think it has to do with a odd green backgrond of TN compared with the neutral gray of Photoshop.
What really draw my eyes to this photo is the wonderful litle dots of clouds illuminated by the orange setting sun. I can look past the small amount of noise and the use of the high ISO.
TFS,
Niek
