Stemonitis axifera (I guess... other opinions are welcome)

I found this ones in an oak broken branch which was on the ground in a shady place.
The whole group in the center of the photo lenth is 1 Cm.

One of the most common species in its genus, Stemonitis axifera is found on slightly decayed but often still rather solid coarse woody debris in forests throughout both temperate and tropical regions of the world. As is the case for many members of the Stemonitales, the plasmodium seems to be able to find its way through solid wood, which enables the species to form extensive fruitings on dry logs, emerging from the inner but still moist core. Macroscopically recognizable by the reddish brown to chocolate-brown color and medium-sized sporocarps, a microscopic examination of the small and almost smooth spores is often necessary for a definitive identification.

What an intriguing image. I assume there are more directly behind but they give the impression of a shadow.
I've never seen this before, not even on paper.

Excellent shot felipe,
It looks some surreal landscape.
The lighting is superb,nice warm tones of colour and excellent DOF.

I remember similiar slime mould from one of Clive's shots. Great light and colours. Something like Martian mood. Great DOF and POV, I like also composition with blurred ones on BG and FG. Overall - very good and informative post!

Wow, what an amazing picture! It much looks like a landscape from another planet taken with a wide field lens. The brown colour suggesting some bizarre geological formation, and then it also looks like some extraterrestrial life-forms. Thanks for sharing moments ! Patrick
