Here's another shot of the Bee-eaters on the wire. The parent finally tired of it's kids squabbling and so flew off to another part of the wire.... where it was swiftly joined by the kids again :-)
The two on the left were the worst. As you can see here the one to the left of the flapping parent is performing a kind of matrix move as the other one is screaming (just for attention though). The far left bird is watching helplessly as the meal he was about to recieve is flying off with its parent! :-)

Again the quality isn't superb but it was a fantastic moment and I hope you'll like it for that :-)

Hi Joe,your class to take the pics is impressive, from this point of view and whit this backlight isn't easy to have colors and sharpness perfects like that! Very nice work ,my best compliments,Luciano

Hello Joe,
Je vois que l'histoire continue! I love the expressions of the young bee-eaters, it's just great and amusing to see them. Very funny and interesting shot, full of life. I don't mind a little loss of quality due to a very strong light.
Thanks for this original posting
Anne

Hello Joe,
Excellent capture of a European Bee-eater family. The subject matter, composition, POV and caption overcomes any defects in the quality, which are minor!
Thanks for sharing this delight and have a good weekend,
Ivan

I do like the way that all attention is directed to the insect/meal. There is so much visual energy in this image. It's a great capture.

Evelynn : )

Captured as "the moment" and it almost appears as though this older parent bird has some treat in its beak?! Almost looks like a butterfly...oh oh...ha! fine capture of a slice of time..and good projection of thoughts onto the scene!

Hello Joe,
This is a great capture you've kept away from us for some time!! Lovely moment you'rve caught and it's not often you see them with their young. It looks like Mum wanted to keep the butterfly to herself! Excellent focus, sharpness and beautiful light and colours.
Never mind the wire - that's where they tend to settle after all! Well done!
TFS and cheers, Ulla

Hi Joe

Very nice capture of this cue bee-eater family!
I really like your timing here - catching one taking off - while the expression on the other ones just speaks for itself.
The details on the birds are excellent, especially taking into consideration the harsh light you had to deal with.
I also really like the fact that the BG is overexposed and that it actually is a beautiful summer blue.

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Wow, Joe, I wonder where you find all these spectacular motives. It's perfect again.
You are such a young and talented fotographer, it's amazing, thanks

Great title Joe.
Good action shot that tells a story.
These bee eaters look very much like our little Kingfishers, but with different colouration.
You got some interesting shots while you were in Spain.

Hi Joe,

I missed so many of your shots while I was away! Couldn't resist choosing this one to comment on - I know how that parent feels and it makes me laugh. You captured the moment perfectly and in excellent detail. I can see who the number one yapping trouble maker is (there's one in every family). I do feel sorry for the poor little one looking up at the food with yearning. Great shot!

Jane

Oportuna captura y un estupendo encuadre Joe !!!
