CHIYSOPA. (Probably Chrysopa septempunctata).
Order NEUROPTERA
Family CHRYSOPIDAE
(Green Lacewings)
The Green Lacewings are the most commonly encountered members of this Suborder. Stalked eggs are deposited on foliage by the adult. Larvae are predators, sucking small soft-bodied insects dry with their sickle-shaped mandibles. Chrysopa oculata + varieties (oculata, albicornis, chlorophana, separata) are most common in weedy fields. Other species are Chrysopa plorabunda (a brown-tinged species of open woodland), Chrysopa harrisii or Chrysopa septempunctata.
Thanks Paul for identifing this one.

It is very small, no much more than 2 Cm. with the wings.

Hope you like!

It's a Green Lacewing, try the family Chrysopidae, it might be Chrysopa septempunctata although there are a number of similar species.

Very nice picture Felipe. I like the colours, composition and lighting. Well done.

Very good capture of this delicate insect. Detailed and nice contrasted against the flower. Great one Felipe.

Those delicate wings are beautifully seen here.Nice one Filipe.

Great capture of this beautiful little critter. Focus spot on, good details and DOF.
I've seen quite a number of these during the early part of September, but always at night (congregating under a street lamp), so it wasn't possible to get any good photos of them.

Felipe, What splash of color to attract us buggers!! Excellent posture of your Lacewing brings it all HOME!! Good note. Great Photo!!!

Hola Felipe:

Excelentes colores y excelente macro.

Very well done !

Never saw one so close up. In California they stunk if you smashed one. I am glad they eat larva! The world is so much weirder when you start to look close up at it!

Everything is very good. The composition, the angle and the lighting conditions. You have done very well indeed, Felipe. I like the way the delicate wings are so sharp. This is a very small insect. Excellent macro.

Beautiful shot.

wow! Grandissima immagine! la trasparenza e la conformazione del supporto delle ali rendono questa immagine piacevolissima!!

Fantastic detail. This photo shows clearly why they are called lacewings. The water droplets on the wing and petal add just a bit extra to this wonderful composition. Well done.

Spectacular! Loving the detail on the insect wings. Also like the way you used a relatively shallow DOF - it softens the background, further emphasizing the detail. Well done :)
