[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at Palmitos Park, Gran Canaria while I was on holiday in May last year. There were a lot of beautiful animals at the park and this little fellow decided to exhibit himself also. Unfortunately I can't tell you the type of the lizard but here is a useful tip I picked up from the net about how to take photos of lizards in the wild:-

Lizards need solar radiation to warm themselves up. Tin foil is a good way to attract them. As the sun warms up the foil, it's the perfect place for a sluggish lizard to come and take in the sun, and get his body temperature up.

Hope this is useful.

Hi Dean,
A very good shot on this lizard. Good to get them early in the mornig when they are slow and not as jumpy. This guy really blends into his rock surroundings well with that skin coloring. Nice shot.

Hello Dean, maybe this lizard belongs to Lacerta sp. but I'm not 100%. Nice composition, maybe cropping off some from the left wouldn't hurt. Well done.
