Today’s post is lovely bird with an enormous bill, a Channel-Bill Toucan.
I took this in Marineland Palm/Mallorca during my vacation on the island.
I think he look great, I hope you like him too.

The Channel-billed Toucan (Ramphastos vitellinus) is a near-passerine bird which breeds in Trinidad and in tropical South America east of the Andes and as far south as southern Brazil. The western form of this bird, the Yellow-ridged Toucan, was previously considered to be a separate species, Ramphastos culminatus, but the two races readily interbreed.
This species is a resident breeder in moist lowland forest. The white eggs are laid in a high unlined tree cavity.

You really nailed the color again..
Perhaps there is something to working in that adobe colorspace... I'm a standard RGB man myself ;)
Tack sharp with excellent exposure, detail, DOF, and well composed. Nice catchlight also :)

Gosh, it is a beautiful bird and well captured. These various Toucans are truly magnificently coloured birds. One can just wonder what is going through this one's mind while he is very intently watching you clicking away at him. Ha-ha, you thought I'm going to come out with some wise crack about his thoughts. Nah, this bird looks far too venerable and serious for jokes.
You have done a great job to capture the superb details and stunning colours with such well defined contrasts in an excellent composition with a perfect BG.
