[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I believe this is a female Spanish Ibex (Capra Pyrenaica Hispanica).

This was photographed in the Sierra de Grazalema in a forest of rare spanish fir trees known as the Pinsapar.

Despite the long focal length I have managed to use a relatively slow shutter speed due to the image stabilisation capabilities of the Nikon VR lens.

Nice picture - you really get the impression that the Ibex is staring you down, nice sharp details on the Ibex. TFS

Lovely shot! The details are great, I like the pose of the ibex. The rocks in FG may be a bit distracting, but on the other hand they give quite interesting effect. As if you were very close, hiding behind rocks to get that shot.
