[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My first try at photographing birds. At our visit at Palmitos park, 2 eagles where flying around, one african eagle and an american eagle. One of them didn't want to come back in captivity and only came back 3/4 hour after the show! What I can perfectly understand. I believe he could survive free it this surroudings as the valley has something of a canyon.

Cropping and added contrast. I'm a bit dissapointed by the sharpness, hope you still like it!

J'aime beaucoup même si le leger manque de MAP est perfectible :-)

Hi Karin,
If this is your first try at shooting a bird, the rest of us should look-out! ;)
The low POV works well and it's a good composition with nice detail. You handled the hard light and shadow well, but you might have tried to shoot from an angle that eliminated the shadow here..morning or afternoon light is usually better and not one dimensional, as with mid-day light :)

C'est un beau portrait de cet oiseau majestueux. Félicitation pour ta première prise! Il n'est pas facile de photographier les oiseaux, ceci représente un défi que j'adore relever mais qui ne donne pas toujours des résultats heureux. Toi tu y es bien parvenu malgré les petits détails que certains ont soulevés dans leur critique. Bien joué et continue! :-)

I think you have made a very good job for your 1st try at photographing birds, The pose you have captured is excellent he really looks majestic, its a shame about the shadow but I still really like the shot.
I have been to Palmitos park and have seen the Parrots & Eagles.

Hi Karen,
Great shot of this eagle. Wow, you must have been very close.
I like his expression and his pose. He seems very alert and ready to go.
Also an excellent low POV.
Too bad about the shadow, but there is not usually a lot of room to move around at an animal park.
TFS an excellent first try. : )

Ik ben het eens met Howard. Als dit de eerste keer is, dan moeten menig mens goed nadenken wat ze nog met een camera kunnen doen. Je POV de klueren en je controle over het licht zijn perfect.

You may be disappointed with the sharpness, but for a first effort, you have the rest of us gasping in the dust. Superb colours and composition with a fantastic POV and very fine notes

Bonita imagen Karin de esta maravillosa ave.
Excelente POV con adecuado uso de la luz sin flash y un agradable contraste de los colores con el fondo azul.
