An eating Monarch butterfly from very close by.

The Latin name of this one is Danaus plexippus. It is famous for the millions of them that stay during the winter in Mexico. Many come from Canada and fly over 4000 km to get there. The Monarch is found on almost all continents.

Postprocessing: was levels and USM as usual.

Very nice, I love seeing things form new perspectives. Butterflies are normally shot from above for the wings (quite rightly) but this shows how much beauty and detail there is on the head and body. Very well done!

Baie duidelike strooitjie wat hy die nektar mee suip. Jan, very nuce detail on the head and its probiscis Spellcheck!!!, I like the B&W dots with the orange on green.
