"My beautiful Machaon (Papilio machaon)".

Sorry for my first note, but this butterfly is not a Machaon!!! it is a "Iphiclides podalirius"!!!

I have looking some information about it and I have seen that both looks like very much and they are possible to be confused.
You can see the difference:

This is one of the most beautiful common butterfly that I have photographed.
Very tipical in "La Mancha", almost in the middle of Spain.

Food: Fruit trees
Flight period: One or two broods in May/June and August/September.
height of Flight: 0.m - 2000.m

Very good photo.
Great colours of BG. They match very well with colours of this beautiful butterfly. Very nice composition and good quality.
I think this noise on BG is a bit disturbing. I posted a workshop to show you how I would change it.
I hope you like it :-)
Anyway, I like your photo very much, cause its very simple but beautiful.

Jaume, I'd say this is a different photo. I've never seen a butterfly like this, and you did a great job. Monika's workshop is great, as we could see.

As for your photo, great POV.

Hola, Jaume. Bienvenido a bordo. Ya vi que tienes experiencia en TE. Yo tambien empezé en TE pero me cambié rápido para TN, ya que me tira más la naturaleza.
Bonita foto de una bonita mariposa. Es una pena el ruido del fondo, Monika ha hecho un buen WS. Veo que utilizas una camara analógica, quizas parte del ruido se deba al escaneado.
Puedes solucionar este problema con el Neat Image, programa del cual puedes descargarte una version gratuita para probarlo. Pues eso, encantado de ver algún paisano más por aquí, espero que sea para quedarte. Un saludo.

Beautiful butterfly! Strong contrast of the butterfly and the bg, I agree with thistle about the noise, but other wise, this is a good shot! Thanks for sharing

You have captured the spread of the wings with their associated "tails" perfectly.

Hi Jarum.
Nice colours, details amd composition.
But the BG is very noisy, I think this came from the scanning.
You can get rid of the it but using fliter In PS.
I have one a WS to show.
