Hi Jorge,
Landscapes taken with a tele lens often give a view that is quite unexpected. Grey tones really give it the idea it is at the end of the day (or early morning; I never see the difference although some people can, they say).
Did you try to take pictures after sunset with the tripod? If you make a series with pictures taken, say every 5 minutes give a very nice series.
