Bonita foto, con una luz escasa pero suficiente para aportar una atmosfera de misterio acompañada de la excelente composición y el vistoso fondo.
Se aprecia un pequeño halo alrededor de la mariposa, supongo que debido al postprocesado del ruido de fondo necesario causado por el ISO 1600 que utilizaste. Con la rapidísima velocidad de exposición que usaste (1/3200) podías haber bajado el ISO sin problemas evitando asi el ruido.
Aun asi es increible la calidad que sacan las EOS nuevas trabajando con estos valores ISO.

Me gusta el juego entre la luz y sombra que conseguiste.
Las motas blancas son muy llamativas y destacan del cuerpo negro del insecto.
Los colores de las alas conseguidos son muy intensos y hacen un contraste extraordinario con el azul del fondo.

Hola Victor, preciosa la Monarca, por aquí verla es un lujo porque solo viene en migración y es escasísima. Me gusta mucho la toma, aunque no comprendo porqué has utilizado 1600 ASAS y 3200 de velocidad, ya que estaba parada. Pero el ruido fantástico casi no se nota. Enhorabuena y un saludo.

This shot has wonderful light that radiates onto the butterfly. Colour is strong and vibrant, background excellent. Very cool low viewpoint.
Nice detail in the wings,not sure head is perfectly sharp though.

the background just enhances the colours on the butterfly and makes it really stand out..the leaf just in the shot doesnt dominate and gives a solid feel to the position of the bf.

The colors and strong contrast of this lovely butterfly are very well visible here and i like the interesting fact here - just the tip of the wings have direct sunlight on them...it makes the photo look a bit special.

Hello Vicma,

This is an excellent shot, very pleasing to the eyes! It is also very good for a detailed analysis, especially concerning the settings! I'll explain why!

Composition:

Your composition is excellent with a very good separation between subject and background! There are no distracting objects in your shot and everything is clean and simple! It is a great asset to present the butterfly's profile against a wonderful, blue and OOF background! Very well done here!

Colors:

The colors are rich, well saturated and look natural to me! Orange and blue is a very good combination and if you add the green color of the leaves you get a very eye catching picture!

Camera settings:

This is the section I wrote about in the beginning. The camera settings you used really cracked me! It is worth the take a deeper look at how you setup your camera. As I can see in the photo info, you used a very high ISO setting! I think it is the first picture I see on TN taken at ISO 1600! I must say the result is outstanding! The noise is barely visible which makes me think you didn't crop the picture at all. What really cracks me is what was the reason for such a high ISO value? I completely agree you needed a short shutter speed to compensate for the 400 mm. But even considering the 1.6 crop factor for your Canon EOS 400d sensor, a shutter speed of 1/640 sec. would have been enough to take the shot handheld. A 1/1250 sec shutter speed would have been more than enough to freeze every camera movement. I don't understand why did you want to use an ultra fast shutter speed of 1/3200 sec. by drastically increasing the ISO value? You could have used a slower shutter speed or open up the aperture to work around this, without making compromises on picture quality! But I repeat, The quality of your picture is outstanding! I could never tell you used such a high ISO setting since the noise is almost unnoticeable! I wrote this whole exposition just out of curiosity.

Exposure:

The biggest issue here was the fact that part of the butterfly was in shadows and part in sun. In spite of this obstacle you exposed the scene very well. The details were preserved in both the white and black areas. And all this without using fill flash. Very well done!

Focus:

Excellent focus on the butterfly! The foreground is well in focus showing great details in both butterfly and leaves. The well controlled DOF allowed you to get such a dreamy background to compliment your shot!

An excellent job with unbelievable quality for your chosen settings! Very well presented from a great POV! Thank you!
