Black Guillemots

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took the photo around noon having difficulties with the strong light, and reflections from the water. Stora karlso, close to Gotland in the southern parts of the Baltic Sea.
Black Guillemots Ceppus grille (Tobisgrissla)
They can be identified in all plumages by the huge white splodge which covers most of the upper wing coverts although in young birds this may be broken with grey mottling. In summer they are otherwise truly black except for bright red highlights on the legs, feet and inside the mouth. In winter their underparts become white and the upperparts mottled grey.
Breeds around the coasts of Scandinavia, northern Britain and Iceland but rarely seen elsewhere. |

I can see that you had difficulties with reflections. Good shoot Armand, and nice POV.
Well done.
Catch you around.
Anders.
A Nice shot from above of these fasinating birds. Guess you where on a edge of a cliff there to get this kind of shot. Its good and the amount of birds there are amazing. Looks like there short of space on that peice of cliff.....
Nice work on this one Armand.
