| As a reporter from a local newspaper you do not only meet people. This havssula (sula bassana in latin) was a meeting I will never forget. The bird had been trapped by a little net on the cliffs on the shore side. (Such a net as you buy apples and oranges in) It was discovered by a man, who lived in the neighbourhood. The bird was a bit hurt, the man suspected, and he sent it away to be examined by a vet. But he also called the local newspaper reporter - me - and I will never forget the very light blue eyes of this very big, very deep diving bird. Pic scanned from a negativ pic. |
