Haha, Ulla, 'less active' ? Try to tell this to small insect which is in damselfly's mouth :-) Composition is clear, simply and beautifull. Colours and light are also very good.

Just a tad off the Wedgwood Blue....but closer to what we call a 'baby blue'. A fine colour, my favorite...and well seen on this damsel. Yesterday I followed two of the fly's around a quarter patch of my yard...They led me into quite the exercise program but they never landed and I went in circles clicking into the air. It was a comedy to be seen!

Hallo Ulla
These insects amaze me time and time again. It always looks as if they are holding on for dear life. A stunning close-up with great clarity and detail. The colour of this damselfly is really spectacular and although I like the metallic coloured one's this one has a special attraction to the eye. Sorry for shorter than usual comment. Time and the rat race is chasing me.

This might be common where you are but he is beautiful with that marvelous shade of blue. Excellent colors, details and composition. I love the triangle formed by the damselfly and the leaves.

I have taken many dragon and damselfly species. especially damsels hard to capture with a nice shot to me. usually exposure not enough for mine. But you capture them with a great macro-shot as like this. Superb colors and great focus and details. POV and composition also very nice. BG nicely contrasting its blue. Azure Bluet - that's a pretty name for this pretty male damselfly, Ulla.
