Very well composed shot of this rarely seen Bronze Hoverfly, with very good colour and leafy setting. The well placed diagonal dips in the leaf in the background add alot to the image - good work Ulla!

Hi Ulla,

Before I took pictures and joined TN a fly was a fly, a moth was a moth and a spider was a spider. My world has been broadened. A wonderful hoverfly with that glossy bronze color. Details are so sharp we can see every part of him. Shows up so nicely on the green leaf.

What an unusual bronzinsh cast to it! This is an unusual sight for me. I rare get close in on smaller insects. It certainly is clearly depicted..and now reading your notes I see you noticed the bronze as well..Very neat little bugger!
