Very good shot in the natural and bright day light. The bird seems to be in a happy state of mind.
Your hand-held shots from a sizable distance always surprise me for their sharpness and clarity. With steady hands like that, who needs a tripod?

Another very beautiful post from you!
This red knot looks really great and you managed to capture it with lots of details and in a superb light.
The low angled POV works terrific here and, tougher with the excellent DOF, they isolate the bird very well from the BG and give out a very nice perspective.
The colors are charming and the composition is simply but very effective.

I lived on one of the dutch wadden ilands for 8 years. Saw thousand and thousands of red knots passing by each year but never captured one on film. The way you did it, makes me jealous a bit. Extreme low pov makes it very nice composition. The sun does good work here on the light.
