I see we both missed Odonatas a lot during this winter and we both consider them good singes and hopes for spring :))

This is really a wonderful post presenting an superb diagonal composition with this gorgeous damselfly.
if you say it's so common allover, i'll be sure to search for ti this year, because until now i didn't find any... ;)

The details of this photo are crispy-clear and the colors are vivid and well lighten. The contrast between the blue - green and black is terrific and gives a splecial attention to the image.

What a long and sleek pretty damselfly, Ivan!
I have yet to see a real damselfly with my own eyes, leave alone shooting one.
Apart from the picture being very sharp, clear and colourful, I like the presentation/composition too.
That dark triangular void below the subject supplements the compostion beautifully.

"experienced Odonatist can identitify a species by the general look" : Well I am definately a very bad odonatist.
I have been comparing this with a Coenagrion puella and there are differences, but quite subtle in some specimens.
I will have to go over my shots of Coenagrion, maybe I have one of this in the middle :)
