Hi Ivan. Your butterfly looks good on the Lichen. he has seen better days but that dose not matter. you have fine detail and bright colours. I have a few day off work and was thinking of going to the woods to look for lichen and some colour in the leaves. Glad to see you are up and about now. well done TFS.

Hello Ivan,
an interesting colour contrast between the bright colours of the butterfly and dull colours of the lichen and BG. I think it works well and causes the Red Admiral's colours to become even more vivid.
+++ Very sharp and defined. Great DOF. Decent lighting and colours.

Hi Ivan

Wonderful shot of this red admiral, presented under very natural conditions - on that lovely lichen covered branch.
The details here are great, but i find the DOF to be the best part of the shot; it also gave you that superb bokeh in the BG that emphaises the subject well.
Perhaps a little overexposed on the close lichens, the colors of the butterfly still came out lovely.
