The shot is so good it shows the glint in the eye of the bird, Ivan. The hand-held capture is just flawless. Rock steady hands you have.
I was just wondering what that dark stuff on the pine tree was. Read your note twice to get enlightened.
Shall I say the boken BG is simply marvellous? Feel uncertain using this word :-).

I have had one of these wonderful coal tits visit my garden occasionally and this fine picture has given me the ID without a doubt...the pov and bg are excellent as is the fine detail.

a nice picture of svartmesen, they are quite common up hee
but I have not seen them around the hide yet, just hear them.
Well detailed, we can see the white spot on the head.
Jag får inget "grepp" om bilden, kan det vara för att du bara har skärpt den delvis men det är en fin bild av svarten.

Hi Ivan,
I didn't think this was the normal Coal Tit that you get where I live and then I noticed in your notes that it was a sub-species. So thankyou for showing this great shot of a bird that I didn't know had a sub-specie ;)
+++ Very detailed in the feathers and good sharpness aswell. I like the pose and the POV is perfect. Good composition. The pine branch is a perfect perch. Great lighting.
