This is a special bird and certainly in Hoilland not often seen. You caught the red color of tis male very well and I like the composition.

Well you not only imaged a good one, you reminded me just as I read now to change my ISO back. I had it on 800 yesterday as it was dark and dreary... I suspect beyond the rare bird itself, you remind us that every setting can be critical..even ISO which sometimes folk forget. The Leica I have should never be used over 200 as it leaves much noise... Very nice image Ivan. Well noted in tech talk too!

Hi Ivan. This is a bird i have not seen so thanks Ivan for posting I see so many new things on TN.You have good detail and rich but still natural colours. a very nice pose with the bird looking out from the top of the Bush. a nice POV against the clear blue sky. well done TFS. good notes too.

i like the pov of the image and the way the bird is framed on it,
on the lights part of the bird the plumage details are excellent
but (in my computer) on the shadow parts of the bird's plumage
i think because that you heavily cropped i think because that
we lost a little bit on the plumage details (in my copmuter screen)
