Somehow i think this is a very fitting species of this occasion...but i can't really say why...i don't know :)
Anyway, it's another splendid shot of a crossbill from you, one that presents this gorgeous and interesting bitd is a splendid autumn light.
The colors and patterns from its plumage are very well visible from this POV and the fact that only its head and part of its back are brightened by the sun light makes it a bit special. It also leads to that great catchlight in its eye which is a great bonus for the shot.
Excellent details and good DOF, too.

Hi Ivan,
The Christas are almost ended so finally I have a few minutes to write comment to picture marked few days ago :)
Why I marked it before? Well, the answer is really simply: I like it :) The bird is presented in natural habitat (I am not sure, but I think that it is on the top on tree), in place where it is not easy to take such picture, especially if we note how mobile is this species.
So for me it is another great example that you are a very good observator and photographed of different bird species, what of course brings other TN members a lot of interesting points of fiew for nature :)

Gran enfoque y maravillosos colores y texturas.
