I find it interesting how colour changes the feel in what I see in an insect. IN this case, as I have mentioned before, it is almost what we used to call a sharkskin. I had a suit like that, same colours and radiance..and my memory of it was good hence the attachment to the lady pictured here..

Very nice on the diagonal and crisp, sharp, well presented of course complete with your always succinct notes!

Hello Ivan,
Calopteryx splendens is one of the most beautiful or splendid species, to me. As you know, its scientific name was derivated calo=beautiful and pterus= wing.
But your macro shot also perfect as much as its beauty. Excellent details and sharpness. POV and composition great. Superb coloration. Its black eyes look like amulets or glass beads.

What a superb composition created by broken leaf and insect. What a superb POV, close distance and 3D-effect. Sharp part of the image is extremely sharp. Blurred part of the image is nicely blurred. Light and set of colours are great too. Bravo.
