Very good shot! Sharpness is perfect. I prefer this iridescent side of the butterfly than the other.I tried to show it in one of my pictures, but without success.

Indeed a bit stange to see a butterfly sucking the juice of a rose-hip, but that's what it finds and your merit is even greater in catching it in such a moment! Wonderful work!
I really like the side POV that you adopted here because it gives such a nice angle for the butterfly and its action.
The details are sharp and clear while the autumn colors are as beautiful as ever.

Hi Ivan.
It is so interesting that this summer we meet this species more frequently than usual too. Last year I had met it once or two times and could not take photos. Now Y have some pictures of this butterfly which drinks juice of the crushed grapes. Shared picture is wonderful. I like its superb rich colours, excellent DOF and sharpness of the butterfly and rose, fine well colored and smoothed BG. Bravo and TFS.

The word Hippy caught my attention right off! Having been one since leaving the US Army in 1964, I suspect you named it for certain colors you have seen some Hippies wear. I do remember that I was not a tie-dye kind of guy. I did have the traditional blue levi jacket and jeans...and played guitar:-)

Hi Ivan. we to seem to have a lot of late Red Admirals this year. yesterday was very cold but they were still flyinging around. You have captured this one with ine detail and natural colours.A nice pose on the Rose hip.A good POV/DOF. well done TFS . good notes too.

Very attractive picture of the Red Admiral on this red flower and with the nice green blurred background. I wonder if the butterfly was "zigzagging" after this special thrinking. I wouldn't have seen the beetle without your note.

Hi Ivan,
that's excellent, a very powerful combination! I like the very clear details, the brilliant light, the dynamical rhythm of structures of that rosehip, and the rich spectre of colours, dominated by a strong contrast of red, green and black. Very beautiful.
