[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Banded Demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) is a European damselfly. You often find it along slow-flowing rivers.
The possibility to take digital photos of the dragonflies and damselflies with my 300 mm (420 mm) lens suddenly made it possible for me to examine the species when I came home, without capturing them. Today they are one of my favorite motif. This photo was taken in sunny weather just before noon, in late spring, in the norhtern part of the wetlands along river Helge å, in Kristianstads Vattenrike.

Hi Hans. This is one of my favorite damselflies we have them on the river in my home town. they are one of the first to start the spring season. This is a typical pose on a single stem of grass. you have captured fine detail and sharp focusing. your use of the light has given clear colours. well done TFS.

Hello Hans,

This is a very nice close-up of the damselfly. You have mastered well color rendering especialy of the highly reflective surfaces of thorax and wings. Insect's colors are natural and saturated suiting well with the grea of the leaf and background.
