[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We looked for a rare orchid in the tall and dense reed vegetation in the fence surrounding the small lake with the black water (Svarta gyl). We dinīt find the orchid. Instead this nice dragonfly, the Four-spotted Chaser (Libellula quadrimaculata) suddenly were there hunting in the evening light. For a short while it was resting on a dry lonely staying reed straw and I got the possibility for a shot with soft background.

The Four-spotted Chaser is a common dragonfly in northern Europe.

Hello Hans,

Your photo is a good close-up of the dragonfly. I am impressed by the good details from insect's body and part of the wings. Your photo has also a very good light with interesting reflexions on dragonfly's body. Colors of the insect matches greatly with the blurry background.
