Hi Ivan,

You must know that I can't resist a bird with an opened beak. I would love to hear that strange call. His colors are beautiful - he is quite a fashion plate with the shades of the head repeated in the wonderful wings and plummage. His long legs give him an elegant look. Superb details, pose, and composition.

Very good capture of this beautiful bird at the right moment. This Black-tailed Godwit is in its best breeding plumage, pose is excellent, nice low POV and well composed. Details and sharp and colours bright and natural. Very good work!

Hello Ivan,

What a fine light falling from an less ususal angle you have captured. The pattern of the plumage is so well shown and the colors are warm and natural. Due to the sharp image bird stays out of the background catching viewers sight.

this is wonderful capture for Godwit in breeding colors. Focus, POV perfect, but also plain BG also great. As I wrote in one of your posts, I prefer this species with such a pose, on pole. I see it with similar pose in book and web in many times. But I have seen it only in shores or in flight.

What a strange pose for me, I've only seen godwits in estuaries or occasionally flooded fields, never sitting on a pole.

Here called it the Grutto.
The pose is natural, personally i will give it a little more space beneath.
