This is a very unusual type of Moth, Ivan. That red strip of colour across its wings justifies its name.
The shot is aesthetically composed.The dark green of the foliage contrast favourably for the subject.

Hi Ivan,

Exceptionally well done macro capture of the moth with wonderful clarity and great details! The colors are perfectly natural and especially, I like the textures on the wings of the moth. The POV and DOF are well managed.
The blurry BG is wonderful and gives great contrast to the subject. Lovely composition!

How nasty to disturb a sleeping moth :-) I'm glad you did because I have never seen a Geometer Moth before. The opened wings are beautiful with great details, colors and shadings. The pose on the leaf is excellent. I love the diagonal composition.
