Hi,
I am not sure whether this Damselfly is seen in Finland but surely I haven't seen one. Excellent macro capture with nice POV and composition, sharp details and excellent bright colours.

Splendida macro, eccellente composizione con la prospettiva diagonale dell'insetto, ottima nitidezza, fantastici i colori contrastati e i giochi di luce con BG scuro. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Ulla,
Goodness, the colors of the damselfly are identical to those of the reeds! Beautiful shot with marvelous colors and razor sharp details. The black background is perfect and a lovely composition.

Perhaps hidden as it might think, but I can see it clearly...although it does add to the patterns which you always se so well...I can tell why you mention the hiding effect. Nicely done Ulla...You are indeed one of my Fav's as is your other half,,,,,,,they say that in America. we have become so lax!

Hello Ulla!
At first view I believed that this is Sympecma species, but soon after I noted a dark-brown abdomen and everything was clear :>
I have never saw this species in the wild, it is rather rare in Poland. And I see that also in Sweden in it much rarest than the second species - I. elegans.
The quality of picture is very good. I know how difficult is to keep good DOF and sharpness taking pictures of so small Zygoptera species, especially when they are reasting among grass. So summarizing - this is a very good and intersting picture in ALL elements! :>
Best regards and have a nice Sunday!
Radomir
PS. Tomorrow morning I'm leaving Lodz for 2 weeks, so I am sorry for lack of comments and answers before 14 July :>
