[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sometimes You have to have some luck and grab every chance to get a special picture. Yesterday I was out aiming for some macro pictures when I discovered this Pied Wagtail sitting very close to me. So I tried to get a couple of decent shots of him with my 90mm macro lens and this is one of the few good ones. I had to crop the picture a lot to get this close but i think the picture is quite interesting. I have seen a lot of pictures of flying birds here but none of the birds had their wings folded :-).

This is an interesting study of how these birds fly. They are very easy to recognize as they beat quickly with their wings a couple of times and then they fold their wings and "fall" for a moment and then they do a couple of fast wing beats and then fall... So when you see them they donīt fly straight but rather "jump" forwards in the air.

This poor fellow was hunted by a mad guy with a camera so it is understandable that he fled away :-). In doing that he seems to make a big jump over the line in the tarmac. The tarmac makes the picture a little bit cluttered but it is not as you can tell the bird to fly to the nearby lawn so I can get a better shot :-).
