Larus ridibundus is one of the common gull species in Turkiye. I have taken it in many times. But its best post is one with breeding plumage as you like. You capture such a beautiful gull in breeding season. Great focus, great POV and eyes contact. Coloration and composition on old wooden pole great. These gulls here have orange or reddish bill and legs. Yours is darker that I think it is from different subspecies.

You have made a very nice photo of this bird. I never saw it with the brown head. The image is very good being sharp and showing fine details of the bird. You have chosen a good POV and a fine lighting position. Sun light is falling on the head of the bird showing nicely the head eye and beak.

This chocolate and vanilla Gull is very beautiful. He has such a pretty face and a wonderful eye. I love the pose with the perfect posture. The details and shadings are excellent. A superb composition. I don't remember seeing this one before.

Hi Ivan. It may be a common bird but still very nice to look at. The gull looks as if its somthing on its mind . A good clear well focused picture with fine detail and natural colours. The white ring around the eye shows up well. TFS.

Quite nice portrait of common bird. Very well exposured with visible all shades of black and white colours. I like composition with grey water in BG. Pity that one leg is covered by leaf. Anyway - nice work!

I have seen this Gull for the first time, Ivan. I find its dark brown head the most appealing of its features.
From the hide, you were able to capture a very fine portrait of this lovely bird. The light is falling on the subject from the most suitable angle and there is an expression of contentment on its face.

Your competition or cooperation with Ulla in photography brings terrific fruits. Yours shots are better each other. Beautifulness of the scene is stunning. Especially I like green leaves which are not common for the subject and decorate the picture so much.
