Hello Ulla,
you have to disclose your secret to get three small butterflies in the same orientation of
your focus plane. Really, all three specimens and the bulb are 100% sharp. A beautiful discovery and capture.

If ever you were in the right place at the right time this was it. You took full advantage of the opportunity and came up with a magnificent shot. The trio of Common Blues are beautiful with wonderful colors and great details of their markings. I love the way the two on the ends are facing opposite directions. Superb composition.

Hi Ulla. Well i got one tonight but to get three at once is fantastic. All with good detail and colours. They may be common blue but they are such a nice colour. You have captured good detail and a nice pose of the three,with natural looking colours. well done TFS.

What an incredible photo - I feel blessed to have one, and once in a while I've seen two, but never three. Your framing and composition is superb. This, especially with your notes, is reminiscent of those long ago slumber parties I went to as a child.

The anticipation of talking all night with my friends, of telling stories to scare each other, and discussing what it would be like as an adult captured our imaginations. I recall admitting I wanted to be grown up so I would be free and not have to do what I didn't want to or follow anybody else's demands. (Oh, how naive I was...)

These three butterflies, the way they are posed, appear to be good friends, perhaps having their own discussion about whatever is on their minds...

The DOF is perfect, the subject is excellent, and the pure beauty (not to mention how it captures my own imagination) is enough for five stars - sadly, I can only give two...

Hi Ulla,
What a find as the evening was saying good bye and the sun got ready to sleep...And you have done i brillaintly . I can imagine the excietemnt of the find and one can make out the setting sun and its slant as the light falls on two of the blue and the one on the left in a little shade. But whatever the light was, I am sure any one of us woul have jumped at the prospect of getting one shot of these trio sitting so beautifully together in complete harmony.The colours are wonderful and despite the crop, no details have been lost.Each of the wings' textures have been picked up well.
Very well done.

Hi Ulla,
I saw this photo already on saturday, just before I left on my photo trip and I gave myself a reminder to revisit it again. The pose of all three B'flies on the flower but is amazing. Who could imagine that they were able to land in such perfect order.
The technical parts of the photo are superb, just the right amount of flash, the spot on DOF and the great details.
