love thy enemies and capture them beautifuly like what you did. good composition, details and contrast. the bug looks beautiful because of the light treatment and the leaf looks like mountain chain and the bug, I know what happened later (drowned).

Hi Ulla,

What a big mouth he has! And he looks very destructive. But as you said, they are quite beautiful with those irridescent colors. The details of the entire weevil are excellent. I love the Red Hazel which looks like it has been sprayed with Fairy Dust. I've never seen one before. Wonderful background and superb composition.

A very nice shot and a lovely dedication!
I think timing here is the key and it's what makes this shot a bit funny too :)
Excellent work with the exposure and DOF resulting also in a lovely composition.
The sharpness is spot-on (especially considering the actual size of these fellows) and the side POV works well.

The colours are stunning and so special, the pov is fantastic and the skills you have to show us nature is amazing! This blend of colours fascinates me, I would paint my house or decorate my bedroom with those colours. The insect at the tip of this dark leaf is just beautiful and the insect itself is incredible. The mellow brownish background reminds me of "caramel". Thank you ULeko, your gallery is a real gallery!

Bayram's boys are certainly going to be thrilled at this dedication, Ulla. They are a bunch of gifted youngmen in pursuit of scientific studies.
The Weevil shown here is a handsome creature but is a pest too, ruining your plants. You have captured it in a precarious condition. The image shows all the details and colours on it very beautifully.
