A most gentle image....in the very etheral use of sunlight, you have captured youth! A glorious image Ulla...I cannot tell you, but I cannot see the cropped part...and it looks just fine...

Hi Ulla . It sound a nice area to live in a shame about the new houses . The sunlight pays a big part in the picture , you have handeled it well . The youngster stands out so well from the grasses . A nice pose with a fir tree either side. well done TFS.

It is the situation that lends a special charm to this cute little Bambi, Ulla.
Since the mother has scooted away, the little one is anxiously looking for her as can be made out from its body language from the rear.
Despite the sun facing you, the image has its very special beauty.

Hi Ulla!

There are situations where imperfections or errors add to the value of a picture. The kind of picture you present us today is very difficult to realize, because if the bright tones are well exposed, the dark ones will be underexposed and vice versa. Usually, in both case the loss of details is the result.

In this particular case the overexposure of the bright tones - some parts are "burnt" - suit the subject very well. The white patches of the bambi's skin is reproduced and highlighted in the spots of the flowers, the grass and the sky. I like this effect here, but I wouldn't accept it in a landscape (burnt clouds are awful...).

I just want to say it's a wonderful picture...

It sounds so idyllic where you live Ulla...i hope it isn't developed too much, for your sake and the wildlife!
You shot reminds me a little of one i posted recently, also of a female deer in sunlight amongst trees. Yours however, has a much more dazzling light and wonderful grasses in the background. An excellent composition too, well done!

The overexposed lighting gives an surreal effect to your beautiful image, Ulla. The little Bambi is fantastic in its pose. I just love the beauty and grace of those animals. I looked at the beautiful legs and thighs, the ears all opened to the sounds... the coat is precious with its lighter dots on the side of the bambi. beautiful luminosity of the image, i love this young (or baby)
Roedeer is looking the same way as your camera lens,
