A fine picture of the Latticed Heath, a moth which is also quite common in the alpine regions. Pleasing composition, fine color-contrast and good sharpness. In German they are called "Gitterspanner".

What an eye-catching butterfly and what a fantastic capture of it, Ulla! This image from your archive is like a jewel coming out of a secure box.
The light and its angle could not be better. The subject looks almost three dimensional here.
The colours and contrasts too are more than ideal.

Hi Ulla, This is a fine close up of this Latticed Heath moth. Taken from a top POV which gives it a 3D efect. Iwe can see every marking on the open wings , which are taken with fine detail and rich colours. It stands out so well from the darker Bg. well taken TFS.

Your close-up looks like taken with DSLR. Amazing combination of sharpness of the butterfly and twig and BG. Wingspread of the insect is amazing as well as bright white-yellow spots on the wings. Well done and kind regards.
