he is so beautiful!
I love him sitting in this position.
You have so much luck with the weather.
We hadn't sun this year yet - they told us it would be nice today - but it was grey grey grey! I also had a nuthatch here today - only a quick visitor - he's so shy. Than my friend the red bullfinch looked inside my window - ok not so near - but I was happy to see him.
I made some shots - but the sun is missing - bad light!
Perhaps I make a collage of them in the next days. Thanks and bye bye

Another fabulous picture; technically perfect and great composition. I love its simplicity with that fabuous curve down to the beak. Love both the curves of the bird, top and bottom, contrasted with the vertical of the tree. Thanks!

Hi Gert,
Beautiful shot on this Nuthatch. The exposure looks to be perfect. Very nice colors in that warm sunlight even though it was cooold!!! I think the composition and framing are flawless. The dark OOF backround gives great seperation to this little guy with a nice blue patch around his head.

Great capture, the pose is wonderful. Technically excellent, as usual ;-). The strong curve really swings here, and the blue patch behind the bird's head/beak accentuates the end point of that line. A different compo might accentuate the line even more and bring out its endpoint, I tried it out in a workshop.

I hope you wil have a wonderful year in 2006. I see the little birdie has a halo around the head, so that can oly be a good sign. I miss your beautiful pictures, wish I could have more time to surf. The land lines are SO slow, it takes forever to get a window open and uploaded. My new toys are performing very well, will post some pics later, once I have caught up with greetings.
