Good choice of post in any case, this is an excellent close-up with good detail and great colours, interesting POV, exposure is spot-on, and a true eyecatcher too.

Your 400th is superb! Very beautiful colors in this perfect exposure. The light here was excellent. Detail is very sharp, and you control on the DOF is perfect. Great OOF backround. Composition and framing are flawless. OUTSTANDING!

Is this a good shot, IMHO? Yes, an excellent one.
Does the note learn me something new? Yes.
Does this photographer take an active part in the growth of the site? Yes.
What do I really feel by looking at this photograph? It is a good choice for your 400th. I think that our most commun subjects are also the most beautifull.
Does this photograph help me to progress? Of course.

Great picture. Perfect composition, a nice pose, and the touch of blue in the background adds a bit extra. A beautifully crisp shot. I'm wondering why you have sold the lens that took it and are now using a 'lowly' Canon 70-300. Your more recent shot of crows, taken with the canon lens, is clearly less sharp. Are you saving for an even more expensive one?!

Being serious, an EXCELLENT job. Maybe the BG looks a bit to "artificial" for my personal taste but I recon it is stunning. Congrats for the level of detail and clarity.
About my fungui, I have great shots waiting in the HD, Marco [Sacordon] is helping me with idents, and I have no much time.
