Today's post is a very rare post from me, a flying Duck.;-) Today was not sunny and blue sky like yesterday, instead it was overcast day and some snow in the air and -10C , but the light was quite good.
We have about 200-300 ducks in the river at the time so get a inflight is not difficult.
I took this wiht my new cheap IS lens and it works well for this kins of pictures.
I hope you like her.

magnifique photo , belle prise bien piquée et couleurs agréables !

Amitiés ;) !

very nice post Gert, the duck even looks happy to be flying around in minus weather conditions. guess he/she has found a good feeding location. The nearest one to me is in Stockholm, there are hundreds there but i just to not get the time to go into town. You have captures this well and its in very good detail also. The colours on the wing is very good. The DOF very well also. Well done on your "another flying duck"

Demetrio

Great shot, I am surprised about quality, usually at 300mm this lense ir bit too soft.

Gert, keep on bringing them.

Easy to notice you're already doing a great job with your 70-300.

The blurred bg highlights the flight. Lovely colors, great composition.

superbe photo gert
netteté parfaite et bon DOF.felicitations.

You know what Gert, you'd do well as a hunter. These photo shots of your magnificent ducks are always so spot on - bullseye each time.
I think you must have tamed all these birds to fly past you like this??
EXCELLENT, thank you my friend,

Hi Gert
Your flying duck shots are definitely not boring. I really like the texture of the wing feathers and the details of the rest. Nice soft DOV to set it off perfectly.

Perfectly executed flight photo! Congrats!

Now, where have I seen this sort of shot before :)

You are very good at these flying duck shots and this one is no exception. A wonderful female mallard 'frozen' in flight.

well done Gert, very nice exposure in such miserable conditions.

Surprise :-) A flying duck - butterfly of Sweden :-))) As always top-class, my friend! Beautifull pose of duck, BG, details and colorfull area on its wing. Real mastery.

My gosh Gert!

Have you taken up photographing ducks???

As you have difficulty including anything new to say about mallards, I have difficulty including anything new, to say to the person who enchants us all, with his amazing photographs of them...

Thank you once again, Duck Master, Gert! ;-)

Perfect Gert. Well composed, awesome timing, light, exposure, sharpness and clarity are all spot on. Thanks.

No no not another duck!!!! hehehe
well caught, good clarity and flow, tfs

I don't like ducks but still prefer a flying duck much, much more than any other ;)
Great picture Gert!

Hi Gert,

I just love your flying duck-shots. Great colors, superb action and nice details. For some reason I think your Sigma would have produced a slightly sharper image, or is that just me? POV and DOF are excellent. Exposure is spot on. Well done & TFS!

Pieter

I am just flying by here for to add my two cents to this very inspiring photo. I hope that some day I will surprise you with a similar photo... but not tomorrow: -20C tonight at Montreal.
I look forward for to see ducks in my park. Meanwhile it is always a pleasure to see yours, my OB&OF Gert. As you can see, they are very well appreciated, not only by the old members but also by some of the recent members. I am very satisfied to note that.

Hi Gert,
Wow! I can't say much more really :-) The crop is perfect and the detail and DOF excellent. You've caught this at the perfect moment with the wingbeat down.
Wonderful shot.
Adrian

Wow! I wish my auto-focus could think that fast. By the time my Sony F717 got around to making a focus decision, the duck would be a dot on the horizon. It's a really cool picture you have here... it looks like he's missing his landing gear!

hi
this is very nice shot
good detail and composition
I like these pictures
