Hej Gert,
You have taken a fine photo of Eldsnabbvingen at what must be its northern limit of occurence in Europe! This shot is of course well up to your high standard and if the butterfly itself were fresh this would have been fantastic.
I think that this looks like a male as it looks a little too pale to be a female, but that may be because it is worn. You may like to compare it with my TN shot of a female.
Well done and TFS,
Hälsningar,
Ivan

Hello Gert,
That's really great that you've managed to catch a Brown Hairstreak as late as this and such a fine specimen! I'm really jeallous! We've been looking for them here but I haven't seen a single one this year. Often we see them here but high up in oak trees and impossible to capture. It is so beautiful and one that I'd really like to catch!
Your shot is excellent, very sharp and the colours are beautiful although they drown a bit amongst the yellow flowers. At the same time it is a very sunny shot and a fine composition.
Many thanks, Ulla

hello Gert,
Great texture in the wing, and then of course the details are great too!
The subject is pin sharp and stands out well, even if the background is of similar colours...
Well framed and an attractive presentation!

Wonderful capture with vivid colors and detail! And these yellow bushes (Goldenrod) are what I'm waiting for over here to get into to bloom - they are like magnets for Butterflies. Congratulations on this beauty! Kudos! Cheers, Klaus

Hello my dear friend
Oh boy...i had so many photos to choose from i could hardly make a decision :) (i know i've missed a lot).
I chose this one because it's a species that i didn't see so many photos of and it was very interesting to catch up on some "biology" :)
This macro shot is impeccable and i really love all the vivid and very beautiful colors everywhere - both on the b-fly and the BG.
The side POV is excellent and the details that you present your little subject with are amazing!
A true beauty in every way!
BRAVO, thake care and TFS
Horia
PS: i see you've given away your camera...what are you shooting now with?

Hi Gert,
glorious colours of late summer in this well detailed, perfectly approached capture of Thecla betulae visiting Goldenrod blossoms. A species that is rarely seen because of its habit to stay high up in the treetops. I never managed to approach one close enough for a picture.
Thank you! With best regards,
Peter
