And is like the Holy blue very early in the spring.
The wings is very nice , if you see it in the sunshine the wings glimmer in green tones.
It’s very common in Sweden.

Technique:

Handheld camera.
ISO 200 - 2/3 ev. Raw-format , I have used Adobe Photoshop elements Verison 3 for a test.
converted ,contrast and levels ,croped, resized to 800 pixels , USM save as JPG for the site.

I will be able to capture monsters dear friend, but your you portray beauties like this permanently.
The colorful one and weave of this small butterfly are wonderful... and the sharpness of the image allows to see all its details.
Great perspective with a suitable diagonal and a perfect DOF.

Great job on this little guy Gert! It appears that your Bg mix of color duplicates the subjects coloration to a "T"!! Great comp. & details. Well done!

Another nice capture.
Excellent composition and detail, very good DoF.
The almost metallic sheen of the wings is nicely captured.
Good work,very well done.

Gert
This one is a sheer pleasure, Thanks for sharing.
I see you say the extension rings is fine enough with other lenses and that the 180 is not really necessary. I also bought them, but have not really tried.
How far are you from the subject here and at what mm did you shoot.
I do not know how to safe raw as jpeg, where do you do this in PS?

Gosh...this is a beauty! I have never seen this species of Hairstreak...I just checked out my lep guide and since it is not listed I guess we don't have this variety in the US. It is so lovely with that green/gold irridescent shimmer. You did a fabulous job capturing this jewel, Gert!

Good work as usual Gert. Lovely capture, the irredescence on the wings is amazing, very good composition too. Well done.

Great shot Gert. Despite its lack of markings I love its antennas, eyes and fluffy body it looks so different. Good use of DOF. Nice one.

Gert, masterpiece! You captured the texture and the colours of the wings to perfection. It;s got anice wooly vest on I see. :) You kick @ss with these tubes.

This one is from Hollywood!

Great capture with your usual sharpness and detail.

Thanks for posting

Gert, A beautiful little creature and very well captured. I have never seen this one. Beautiful.
Greetings, Jan

Excellent shot, Gert. This really looks like a painting. Great capture of colors.

Beautiful capture of this little chap which is clearly a relative of our blue ones. Don't know if these are to be found in Denmark, too, but I wish they were ;-)) Great diagonal and sharpness, nicely oof background and gorgeous colours.
