[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my first LP post.
I think this a highland darter, sympetrum nigrescens but I'm note sure.
Anyway it's common, I found it in a open field in the wood.

Technique:
Sigma 180 mm Macro Ex HSM + 1.4 X Sigma converter
Sigma EF 500 DG Super as fill-in flash
ISO 100 - 2/3. Flash - 2/3 ev. Raw-format.
Converted, contrast and levels resized to 800 pixels, USM save as JPG for the site.
I used Adobe Photoshop CS and Neat Image for PP

Now this is serious show off work. The LP is remarkable in clarity, DOF and details. I though mine was nice but this is simply the best. Gert... this rocks!

Alas, I will settle by bill asap.

I recon you have got the ident spot on for this female, we only get it on the west coast of scotland.
She is very well seen and the angle of view suits this image well , nice one Gert.
