I have done some digging in my archive again and I found this little pest.
This beautiful little beetle is not well seen of people who has lilies in there garden.
They have a big apatite and eat the leaves of the lilies plants.

The scarlet lily beetle (Lilioceris lilii), is an 8 mm long bright red beetle which is a serious pest of lilies and fritillaries in England and South Wales.
The larvae have dirty orange-red bodies with black heads; they are rather rotund with a humped appearance. The larvae normally cover themselves with their own slimy black excreta and could be mistaken for birds' droppings. With adequate food, they reach 8-10 mm in length, at which stage they pupate in the soil.
Both adults and larvae damage lilies (Lilium spp.) and fritillaries (Fritillaria spp.), primarily by defoliating them, but in heavy infestations the flowers, seed capsules and stems will also be eaten. Although adult beetles have been found on other plant species, only lilies and fritillaries are true hosts, on which eggs are laid and the larvae develop.

Sigma 105 macro
ISO 400 - 1/3 ev. Raw-format .
Converted ,contrast and levels ,crop, resized to 800 pixels , USM save as JPG for the site.

Great macro. Excellent colors and sharpness. The background are good. Very nice composition. Good note as usual. Good job. I bought a Sigma 105mm Macro EX DG yesterday and I'm very excited to use my new lens and start in the wonderful world.

If this was taken in Sweden then I have lots of things to look forward too. I am supposed to move there in April to start a new life with my partner and 2 children. Very appropriate square frame here for this superb image. Colors, DOF and BG are very well done. Maybe just a bit overexposed imo, but really good anyway.

Great picture, very good capture and very good colours, the contrast between the red Scarlet Lily Beetle to the whole frame is very good. The exposure is very good regarding the bright light.

Well, Gert, this is a state of the art macro. Encyclopedic quality. No nits, just the pleasure of seeing so sharp details and beautiful colors. Very subtle diagonal background counterbalancing the diagonal of subject adds to the quality of the composition. Congratulations.
