Very good macro again, Gert! Wasps are interresting to observe, and you've done a great job by capturing the action of collecting fibers for the nest. On the photographic side, no nits, very good exposure, head details and POV to catch it. Just wondering what's the sharp line at the height of the fore left arm.

Excellent picture, with plenty of interesting details, including the wood fibres being pulled out. In case you are wondering, this is, I think, a queen Dolichovespula media.

Wow, what an interesting pic! I always saw the grooves in the wood they left behind, but never a wasp during the actual collection. Thanks for sharing, it is great to see how they do it.

Furthermore I think the pic is excellent with the focus on the head. I commend you for daring to come so close (I am scared of the stingy things after I was stung five times in my foot last year in France - by one single pissed off wasp!)
